Foggy mornings usually send me to Mount St. Mary Cemetery at 23rd and Cleveland. Same today. I know there's a good foggy-day image still waiting there - it just hasn't revealed itself to me - yet. For now, a mausoleum's green door and a truncated angel.
I don't know how this serene Bringer of Death lost its hand. I'm guessing a celestial poker game gone bad. Mount St. Mary's is a festival of funereal iconography. It, like Elmwood Cemetery, contains a lot of Kansas City history. Elmwood is more park-like. MSM a bit more structured, a who's who of Catholicism in Kansas City.
Thus spake the rabbit.
